The brief
What it had to do
Government buyers scan capability statements for the same fields every time, so I set them where they expect them.
Codes, past performance and certifications had to read as a clear record, not a sales brochure.
Inside the InDesign file
How it is built
- Procurement data on the back page: UEI, CAGE code, NAICS codes, certifications and a named point of contact
- An inside spread for company overview, core competencies, past performance and differentiators
- Past performance set on hairline rules: agency, project and scope
“Past performance on quiet hairline rules reads like a track record rather than a pitch, which is how procurement officers want to read it.”
What this shows
For a new bid, the firm swaps in the relevant past-performance rows without disturbing the grid.
Ashgrove and all company data shown are fictional.
